This is a message that I sent out to my mother and my 40 Days for Life/SAFL team.
I shared, “Thank you! Thank you for your burden for the child in the womb. Thank you for so getting the heart of God and so understanding that this truly is the Holocaust of our day. Thank you for standing in the gap for these children sparing countless children death and their mother’s regret. Even the children who were aborted you stood in the gap for them giving their mothers and fathers the opportunity to know the heart of God which is choosing life. Thank you for your faithfulness in saying, “Yes” to Jesus’ very heart. Proverbs 24:11 shares, “Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter.” Proverbs 31:8 states, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.”
If our society truly understood that abortion is the killing of a baby in the womb and that is no different than children at the age 2-years-old being killed, I think/hope our society would do something about it. When I think about the recent flooding that has occurred in a few states around the country and the way that locals stepped in and were naturally jumping into the brokenness and rescuing those being swept away by the flood, I think that we could have the same immediate response to jump in and stop abortion. No one during the floods said, “Am I called to rescue the people being swept away?” No one said, “This is not my calling to rescue people, but so proud of you.” They did not overthink it. They jumped into the water, and we must do the same for the babies. The babies are being swept away by the flood of lies and by the abortion pill and abortion industry.”‘
